Mike is a geologist who loves the challenge of having new building projects. The first project in Noordhoek was an existing single story home.

Mike mentioned a thatch roof with the intention of having the master bedroom upstairs. The ends of the thatch roof were opened out to maximize the views and to allow for north and south light to enter the rooms. A model was built to communicate the concept.

Mike then decided to purchase land in Brenton on Sea. The concept design shows a timber frame construction, a small home for a retired couple with flexible extra accommodation. Mike has built the home and is currently living at Brenton.
