House Lorimer in Pinelands

From an impractical 1950’s Pinelands house to a beautiful, spacious, open plan home.

Ken had a fantastic vision for addressing the impractical elements in our original home and incorporated all our requirements for achieving better flow and an overall aesthetically beautiful interior and exterior.

Our favourite changes include:

• A bigger kitchen with great counter space, ease of movement and lots of storage space
• A large open plan family area to include a formal lounge and dining area
  Joining an impractical, separate building to the main house. This gave us a spacious family/tv room with a guest toilet
• Updating the front elevation by enlarging the 2-bedroom windows and including a frame detail
• Expanding the front deck and extending the pergola to give more protection from the afternoon sun and improving the aesthetic
• A large outdoor braai/entertainment area that also provides protection from the South Easter and a Balau deck around the pool to complete the updated look.
• A redesigned, enlarged and updated main bathroom with a fantastic skylight.
